MPIKA CONSTITUENCY HOLDS FINANCIAL LITERACY TRAINING FOR 2026 CDF GRANT BENEFICIARIES

Mpika Constituency this morning successfully conducted its first 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Financial Literacy Training aimed at equipping grant beneficiaries with essential financial management skills.
The training brought together 71 grant beneficiaries, who are set to receive funding of over K30,000 each, under a total approved grant allocation of K2,727,951.51.
Addressing the beneficiaries at the mpika Town Council canteen, Director Human Resource and Administration who represented the Council Secretary said the initiative is designed to empower beneficiaries with knowledge in budgeting, record keeping, business management, savings, and investment to ensure that the grants translate into sustainable businesses and improved livelihoods.
Mr Kapeshi further said the Constituency Development Fund continues to serve as a catalyst for economic empowerment, job creation, and community development by providing citizens with opportunities to start and expand income-generating ventures.
He further warned that anyone who will misuse the money will be blacklisted.
And Mpika Town Council Socio Economic Planner Mr John Mankumba said the CDF grant is meant to be an empowerment fund in order for citizens to venture into any business which is profitable for the betterment of the community.
